Introduction/ Back Story of How I Became Fascinated and Involved with Side Show Performances

 This as you can see is the intro my blog about side show performances.  Why I decide to do a blog about side show performances, is that it fascinates me. I can remember first time I saw some side show performances which had fire breathers, people juggling torches, and a  person eating fire. In the past when in was in my 20's, around my mid 20's (as I'm already in my early 30's, yeah, I'm getting old lol....), as I said I became more fascinated about side show performances in my mid 20s.I even joined a performance group called Chaos Productions, which was also later known as Chaos Detroit.

The group was based in the state of Michigan and at that time I was in living across the border from it in Windsor, Ontario, in Canada of course.  Yeah, Windsor is my hometown.  I still have friends who live in Windsor and my sister, who is 6 years younger than me, her and her family live in Windsor.

Back to the Chaos Productions/Chaos Detroit stuff.  My friend Sarah Chickee, aka Violet, which was her stage name (because she was also a part-time stripper on the side aside from her normal profession of working as a cook at some restaurants), first introduced me to the person in charge of the stage performances at place called "The Wild Orchid".

The Wild Orchid at that time was located above a female strip club called Cheetah's. The Wild Orchid iat the time was couples adult club and was owned by the people who own Cheetah's as well. Occasionally there would be girls doing their thing at the Wild Orchid.  I wasn't a stripper by any means.

 It was a guy named Christian Aldo, who is also an artist.  Christian has created all kinds of art which is displayed in a few places around Windsor. I can remember doing a Cleopatra skit back then and I had the role of Cleopatra. I was also a go-go dancer back then at the Wild Orchid.

So, Sarah introduced me to Christian, and he asked me if I was interested in getting involved as a performer with him and Sarah at the Wild Orchid.  I agreed of course and  from that day on, he had skits he came up that involved himself, myself, Sarah, and aside from himself members of another performance group (Chaos Production/Chaos Detroit, which a later joined that group).

After awhile, the leader of Chaos Productions, Ally, noticed that I wasn't technically the right first for Christian Aldo's performances after awhile, and asked me if I was interest in joining her performance group.  And of course I accepted her offer. I had my modelling portfolio with me at the time as well to show her that I'm a freelance model as well. So, that was the start of me and my friend Sarah joining Chaos Productions.

Chaos Productions later also known as Chaos Detroit, was not only known as a 'powerhouse alternative  performance troop' but was also a talent agency, that was made up of models, dancers, and extreme  and/or somewhat dangerous performers who performed acts that you would probably see at circuses or at busker festival. Such performers such as: fire breathing, fire eating, laying on a bed of nails with someone standing on top, also flesh pulls or suspensions.  We also dabbled in the fetish scene some of us being dominants or sub-missives.

Our group would also be co-hosts to fetish events, such Exotic. We had 4 years of Exotic, which was 3 day weekend convention so to speak, with workshops during the day, a model and photographer meet and greet, 2 days of photo sessions that were arranged between the models and photographers during the meet and greet, and at night for the 2 main days a fashion and live performances.

We also had our own annual performance night called 'Dark Carnival'. Which is was a night were our own performers showcase their talents and we also had performers from else where, who we were friends with.

I know, this is so much to take in, and a surprise for some of you are now starting to follow this blog. However, this can also help you, the readers of this blog, kind of learn more about me. Also, just to let you know I have a stage as well, and it's 'Empress Black'.
